I am running for Sheriff / Coroner for Cascade County. It is with great consideration that I have made this decision. With the encouragement of family, friends, current and former staff, and public safety officials throughout the county.
I have dedicated my life since the age of 14 years old to the Cascade County Sheriff's Office. At the age of 14, I became an Explorer. In 1990 I became a Reserve Deputy for the Office, and in 1992 I was hired as a full time Deputy Sheriff. I have 25 years of law enforcement experience, and 24 years of coroner experience.
It is my intent to bring the Cascade County Sheriff / Coroner Office to a level of excellence that each citizen of our county deserves. I want an open door policy, equal and fair treatment, unbiased and respectful service for each person that comes in contact with our Office.
I will be a hands on working Sheriff, as I have always been as a Deputy. I will continue to serve along side of each member of the staff. I look forward to the Administrative responsibility of the budget, contracts, and leading the employees of our Office. With that being said, I have chosen Commander Dan O'Fallon, who has extensive knowledge in the budget and contracts, to be the Undersheriff. This will provide a seamless fiscal transition in my new Administration. O'Fallon brings over 38.5 years of law enforcement experience with the Cascade County Sheriff's Office, and just over 20 of those years has been running the Detention Center.
My vision is open communication with the citizens and the Sheriff's Office staff. This will lead to more effective resolutions to issues or problems. The Administration will be transparent and accountable to the people, both in the communities, and inside the Office. I don't think it's always about trying to fix something that might be broken, but rather creating something new and something better. My priorities are service, safety, and trust.
Thank you for your support, and please vote for me as your next Sheriff / Coroner. And please, share your support for me with your family and friends. If you would like to help by giving a donation, placing a sign in your yard, an endorsement, or in any other way, please let me know.
